Members of the San Angelo Chamber of Commerce:
As we continue our journey from crisis to recovery, I’m pleased to report that the COVID-19 incident rate in Tom Green County continues to be low and stable. Let’s all continue to remember that we are in the most critical phase of our recovery. By keeping our incident rate low, we will continue to see further liberalization of our business environment. Maintaining social distancing and hygiene protocols is important. Keep up the great work!
My wife MG and I have been getting out and are really enjoying the San Angelo hospitality. I want to thank the hospitality industry for coming back and for working hard to ensure the safety of your patrons. We encourage all the membership to get out and to take advantage of our local businesses and always remember to tip generously!
Speaking of getting out… we want to celebrate and to publicize your re-opening with a brand-new program – the Ribbon Connecting Celebration! Like a Ribbon Cutting, the Ribbon Connecting Celebration brings members of the Chamber staff, the Concho Cadre, and the community to your business to celebrate your reconnection to the community. For more information or to schedule your event, contact Heather at firstname.lastname@example.org or call (325) 655-4136.
We had our first virtual meet and greet this week and we really appreciate all of those who joined. The attendance was strong, conversation was lively, and the questions were great! We look forward to resuming our normal schedule of face-to-face luncheons and happy hours when we can, but in the meantime, we will continue to get together virtually. Our next get together will be a virtual happy hour on Tuesday, May 26th at 5 pm… put it on your calendar now! This event will be broadcast live from the Penny Tap House. We have lots of fun and surprises planned so be sure to attend. Zoom coordinates and other information will be provided.
We are continuing our weekly webinars series this week and the next installment will be on Friday, May 15 at 11 am. The topic will be: “Paid Leave Under the Families First Coronavirus Act (FFCRA)” and will feature speakers from the U. S. Department of Labor—Wage and Hour Division. Register today at: www.sanangelo.org/covid-19-webinar-series to take advantage of this free educational opportunity!
#SanAngeloStrong is the Chamber’s theme for our recovery effort. Show your support for the Chamber and for the recovery by purchasing #SanAngeloStrong t-shirts and hygiene masks online at www.sanangelo.org/SanAngeloStrongGear. Your support is critical! Volume discounts are available!
Finally, we ask that you take a moment to like and follow us on Facebook and on other social media platforms if you haven’t already done so. We also ask you to check out our website, www.sanangelo.org, for new information, as we are continually updating our resources page. I have included my email and personal cell phone number below. Please feel free to contact me at any time. Many are calling and I’m very grateful for that!
In the meantime, stay safe and keep well…We deeply appreciate you all.
